2015


Bessie Minor Swift Foundation

In April 2015, Bessie Minor Swift Foundation provided funding for UW to include a Climate-Change science component into the Science Friday program, which will provide the additional elements of original data collection, analyzation, and 21st-century technology incorporation into the curriculum.


Walmart Foundation

In April 2015, UW’s Education committee received a $1,000 grant from the Walmart Foundation to purchase field supplies for the UW/USFS Oregon Youth Conservation Corps (OYCC) crew.


Patagonia

In February 2015, UW’s Wild on Wilderness (WOW) committee received a $4,000 grant from Patagonia to help sustain its efforts in the Crater Lake Wilderness Proposal campaign.


Evergreen Hill Fund of the Oregon Community Foundation

In April 2015, UW received $1,000 from Evergreen Hill Fund of the Oregon Community Foundation to support its general programming and development.


2014

Gray Family Foundation

In 2014, UW’s Education committee received a $5,500 grant from Gray Family Foundation to send 90 5th graders from McGovern Elementary on a “Watershed Tour”, consisting of three day-long field trips to Crater Lake National Park, Roseburg Urban Sanitary Authority, and the South Slough National Estuarine Reserve.


Norcross Wildlife Foundation

In 2014, UW received $2,000 from Norcross Wildlife Foundation to purchase computers, a printer, and a video camera. Their funds have aided in the development of this new website and the 20 Years video.


2013


Bessie Minor Swift Foundation

In 2015, UW’s Education committee received a grant from Bessie Minor Swift Foundation to purchase literature materials to support a pilot Wilderness Literature program at Phoenix Charter School.


Charlotte Martin Foundation

In 2013, UW’s Education committee received a grant from Charlotte Martin Foundation to purchase supplies for UW’s pilot “Science Friday” program at McGovern Elementary.
